Due to a cancellation of our flight, my partner and I were unable to check in until the next morning and, in fact, with only 15 minutes to spare before our nominal checkout. We were given two extra hours because of the issue so we got to see what the room, the Club Lounge and the area by the bar was like before heading to the appointment we'd come up for. At 1.5 hours, it was the shortest stay in a hotel ever. We both agreed that it was very lovely and would like to 'stay' there again. However, due to the circumstances beyond our control, I wasn't awarded the Status Night. I think this is unreasonable as I still paid for one night in the room. Our flight from Canberra to Sydney the day before would have had us arriving at the hotel by 6pm so we'd allowed plenty of time. After 3.5 hours of being told the flight was delayed over and over again, when it was finally cancelled, there was no other flight for us to access and we had to get one in the morning. Again, there were problems with the flights and, in the end, the only reason we got to Sydney was because I had a medical appointment to get to in the early afternoon.

Came in for a two day stay with a friend and we booked club floor . The Hotel has been beautifully refurbished. The Bar and Restaurant are excellent as are all of the staff, however Club Floor was extremely disappointing and certainly not worth the money . This is the only Club Floor that I have been on that has 1 red wine and 1 white wine, plus a sparkling to choose from. What was more concerning was the lack of utensils fir serving the food. 1 cheese knife for 4 Cheeses , 1 pair of tongs for approximately 8 different bowls including nuts ? Club was late being set up which I understand can happen but the staff seemed to be struggling. Upon asking s young lady re the lack of selection if wines she said it is not my fault and she agreed with me , obviously I was not the first to mention this. She is also correct it is not her fault and I wish to reiterate, all the staff were wonderful . We left club floor as we could not drink the wine . I spoke with the Duty Manager who did not have an issue with the lack of utensils for serving or the lack of selection of wines. It was myself who had the problem . Your lovely girls at reception wrote down the General Managers name for me as they listened to the conversation and obviously did not find his responses suitable either .I note this review is going to yourself) We did not bother going to Club Floor the 2nd Evening, instead enjoyed your wonderful Bar and Restaurant .
