Staff who checked us in was unwelcoming and sullen - unlike the rest of the staff. Female bath was also under renovation - not made known to us prior to booking, hence was unable to utilise the complimentary spa facility which we had been looking forward to. Overall a rather unpleasant experience.

It was cumbersome to change lifts to get to the rooms from the ground floor of the building.

We booked a family room for our stay. Approximately one hour after arriving from dinner at one of the restaurants in the hotel, a member of hotel staff came to our door to complain that my four-year-old daughter was being too loud and disturbing guests in the room below. I have never experienced such poor soundproofing in a hotel that a young child simply enjoying herself would prompt a noise complaint. This interaction immediately made us feel uncomfortable and anxious for the remainder of our stay and significantly detracted from the experience. I raised this issue with hotel staff at the time. Additionally, we discovered someone else’s dirty underwear (female) left inside the laundry bag in our room, which was both surprising and unacceptable. The room itself felt dated and poorly maintained. The couch was in need of repair, and overall the condition of the room did not meet expectations. While the location of the hotel is very good, the accommodations and experience did not align with what was presented as a five-star property. Overall, this stay fell well below expectations, particularly for a hotel that markets itself at this level.

Well located and functional. It will be better if the service is more warm.

I always stay at the hotel when I visit Osaka. I think this is my 4th time staying here. I like the location, the accessibility and the room size. The staff are also warm and helpful. The ambience is cosy and also the ease of use of the controls in the room. Sometimes, some hotels are too high tech that it becomes a chore trying to figure out how to switch on or off lights in the room.
