A little inflexible as we requested late check out at 1pm but was denied.

Room is spacious, but equipment are definitely showing their age. The motion sensor gets triggered for no apparent reason, often turning the lights on, disturbing our sleep. The bathtub trap mechanism is faulty, so we had a hard time trying get a seal to fill the tub. Conversely, when we are done, it is another exercise to get the trap out to drain the tub. The shower-rainshower-tap requires some high level genius to figure out, especially since they are old, and turning knows doesnt seem to do anything. We ended up just using the shower head for everything - from normal showers to filling up the tub. As always, no complimentary parking.

We enjoyed our stay overall. Our room was lovely, and the view was amazing. The hotel amenities are good. The only thing that let the experience down was the breakfast. We found that if you aren’t down for breakfast by 7am, then you have to line up and wait for a table. The hotel needs to consider adding capacity for another breakfast venue.

I was initially satisfied with my stay, but unfortunately, the experience became very disappointing due to the condition of the room and, in particular, the air conditioning. I arrived at around 2:00 PM after taking a very early flight, so I was already exhausted and was looking forward to getting some rest for a few hours. However, the air conditioning in my room was not working properly, and the room was uncomfortably warm. I first contacted the hotel and requested that a technician come to check the air conditioning. The technician did come and tried to address the issue, but unfortunately, there was barely any improvement and the room remained uncomfortably warm. As the problem was still not resolved, I had no choice but to request a room change. The room change itself took additional time, with me having to wait approximately 30 minutes to an hour. By the time everything was sorted out, I had lost a significant amount of my limited rest time. I had originally expected to be able to rest after arriving at 2:00 PM, but because of the room temperature and the time spent waiting for the technician and subsequently changing rooms, I could not properly sleep until around 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, the replacement room was only slightly better and was still not as comfortable as it should have been. This was particularly disappointing because I stayed at this hotel in March and had a much better experience. The difference in quality between that stay and this one was quite significant. I had specifically chosen this hotel as a transit stay because I had a 7:00 AM flight to Australia the following morning. I needed a comfortable room and a good night's sleep before an early flight. Instead, I ended up sleeping poorly because of the warm temperature and went to the airport extremely tired the next morning. The only positive aspects of this stay were the Executive Lounge and the convenient location next to the mall. Unfortunately, these positives do not make up for the poor room experience, the ineffective air-conditioning, and the amount of time I had to spend trying to resolve the issue. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, especially compared with my previous experience in March. I genuinely regret choosing this hotel for my transit stay and wish I had selected another hotel instead. I would be very reluctant to stay here again based on this experience. I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously, particularly regarding the air-conditioning and the way room-change requests are handled, so that other guests who are staying for an important early flight can actually get the rest they need.

Reservation process via email was slow; extension cost of additional night was not properly explained which resulted in confusion when an unexpected amount was charged, that also without my authorisation. Ms Eddy Tan, Director of Guest Relations, helped resolve the matter. 3 duty managers before her were dismissive despite proper explanation and email references.
