Overall a very okayish stay! Pros: Friendly staff at the restaurant and bar. Great views from the room. Cons: Crowded spa and rude service at check out.

Pros: -Location is central, very near to old town and almost everything to see in Tallinn - Nice pool area with kids swimming toys and ample of space available, sauna, steam and a nice place to sit outside with tea and cookies. - Gym also was quite well equipped and seemed nice. - Big thanks to friendliness of INGA, without that interaction this would be a 5/10. - Platinum member upgrade gave a “suite” room, the bed was super comfortable, pillow options, coffee/tea and included mini bar, bathroom was definitely nice and big and had a separate small toilet as well. Living area and bed room are basically one big room divided into two but that’s the layout I guess not much can be done. - Purovel products are always amazing, bed, linen, towels also quite well maintained and clean. Cons: - the room says in room mineral water, on asking extra water there was a huge thing where one of the manager started to explain costs of water and things, to make it worse he was at 10 pm at my door to offer some extra bottles of water which he had to take permission for, later the whole staff knew the issue and avoided even eye contact. Jonas you definitely destroy the good that people before you did. The Asian looking served made such a weird face when we sent the water back initially, he was almost annoyed with us. My wife who is of Baltic European origin found the behavior of these two men extreme unfriendly and strange. Jonas also told me drink tap water, it’s the best. Eurostat has released a new information this month and guess Estonia is least drinkable water in EU. Perhaps the pride does not want to see stats, a simple google search can show. - Now honestly by no means of service and quality of hard product this hotel is a 5 star, having stayed in over 1000+ 5 stars in last 5 years alone, this does not qualify at all. And not a platinum Accor feel either honestly. No 5 star has ever made drinking mineral water such a discomfort. Yes I drink a lot, you have a problem? Say out policy is so and so and finish there, don’t try to teach clients cost of it to the hotel and what is enough. That’s not for you to tell me, if you be condescending, this is what you get. - Cost cutting is real so what Jonas said was confirmed when I went to take my welcome drinks and there is restrictions on what you can take, no cocktails etc, again not the kind of service people expect. - I was also told it was a courtesy upgrade, and not all facilities are same. I check pricing room I stayed was marked 450 euros a night, a weekend is a little less than what Estonian monthly minimum salary is, I would never pay that price tag for the room I stayed in. The price comparison is to give an idea that you can charge what you want but provide a good experience. - welcome member amenity in many reviews said was a champagne or fruit/snack basket. I got a piece of chocolate. That was disappointing. I also mentioned it twice to staff and no replies, even one front desk person confirmed that is what is received. - I generally like Accor and Swissotel brands globally but this one was a huge let down - wet areas were dirty, they were just piles of water all day next to pool, not enough staff to clean pool or take care of rooms, too many managers I guess that is the cost for this property. - Rooms are a bit outdated, I have never seen MDF wood furniture that too in a country with surplus pine and other wood, that was not quality. Property can definitely use an uplift and makeover in some time. - The tapes of the curtains in the wall are falling in parts and it gets bright at 6 am. Maintained should definitely check that. It was impossible to fix them and too sticky - Lastly, I was promised a call from general manager, never happened. I guess they don’t care much either. All in all it’s a business hotel, not a spa of swissotel. A very good handwritten or Mercure, if rebranded. If you keep aside the negatives the price point for Estonia or 300+ euros for a platinum member with all+ explorer, not worth the money even in the “suite”. Perhaps management takes note and does more for clients and maybe one day it could be worth a visit again. The room does have a beautiful harbor view if you get the one room”suite”.

Our staycation was, spa section was one of our favorites. Hotel itself starts to look its age and would need atleast small upbringing. I would stay again.
